Pertamina’s Sustainability Commitment through the UN Global Compact

Pertamina's Transparency Commitment through Engagement with EITI

Pertamina's commitment to continue strengthening governance practices is implemented through direct support for EITI. The EITI (Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative) is a global standard for the good governance of oil, gas and mineral resources. EITI seeks to address the key governance issues in the extractive sectors.  Since October 2022, Pertamina has become a Supporting Company of EITI with 21 global oil and gas companies as well as 43 global companies from other industries. Pertamina is also the first oil and gas company in Southeast Asia to support EITI. Pertamina commits to ensure compliance of all stipulated legal requirements, and upholds the highest standards of Good Corporate Governance practices, including accountability and transparency throughout the company's areas of operations. We believe that the implementation and comprehensive sustainability strategies will provide overall business benefits for the company, enhance competitiveness, reduce business risk, improve employee wellbeing, enhance the company's reputation and provide competitive access to capital. Pertamina’s Participation through OGDC Charter at COP28 to Drive Oil and Gas Decarbonization

The Oil & Gas Decarbonization Charter (OGDC) represents a unique and significant collaboration aimed at accelerating the decarbonization of the global oil and gas sector. This initiative emphasizes inclusive industry cooperation and knowledge sharing to achieve its goals. Notably, the Charter has already garnered endorsements from companies responsible for 42% of global oil production. It outlines a series of ambitions geared towards achieving net-zero operations by or before 2050. Pertamina, as an Indonesian state-owned oil and gas corporation, participated as a signatory of the Charter during COP28 in Dubai. Pertamina Commits to UNEP’s OGMP 2.0 Amid Indonesia’s Methane Reduction Efforts

Launched at COP26, participants joining Global Methane Pledge (GMP) agree to take voluntary actions to contribute to reduce gkobal methane emissions at least 30 percent from 2020 levels by 2030. Indonesia, along with other 155 participants of the pledge, is committed to take drastic measure to reduce methane to keep the 1.5℃ warming limit within reach. Pertamina announced as the only company in Indonesia that signatory membership to the UNEP’s Oil & Gas Methane Partnership (OGMP) 2.0, an internationally recognized framework for effective & transparent oil & gas industry-spesific methane emission data reporting since May 2024 www.ogmpartnership.com/our-member-companies

Pertamina Strengthens Gender Equality Commitment with IBCWE Partnership

As part of Pertamina’s commitment to gender equality in the workplace, Pertamina has been a member of the Indonesian Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (IBCWE) since 2021. As an IBCWE member, Pertamina encourages cross-industry collaboration to strengthen policies and best practices related to gender equality. The Gender Equality Results and Strategy (GEARS) audit is periodically conducted at Pertamina to measure the implementation of gender equality, covering various aspects including leadership, development, and wellbeing. The audit results then provide a foundation for the annual implementation of gender initiatives. With IBCWE, Pertamina also implements various development and training programs to create a gender-sensitive work environment, such as the ‘Eliminating Gender Bias in Interview Process’ training. www.ibcwe.id
